Zain Chaudhry is a PhD candidate in economics. His research interests lie in public policy design, political economy and behavioural and experimental economics. He studies these questions using lab experiments, quasi-natural experiments and Randomised Controlled Trials. Before joining AWI, he did lab-in-the-field experiments on governance with Acemoglu, Cheema, Khwaja and Robinson, worked on unemployment-agency contract design for the Government of France with Le Barbanchon and Rathelot at CREST (France) as well as the Government of Pakistan on improving public sector recruitment.
